Mamie McAbee, Director

Mamie has been dancing since the age of 3 and has studied tap, ballet, jazz, clogging, and irish dance. Her focus has landed with the last two of these dance forms. Mamie has 27 years experience in clogging, and 10 years in irish step.  In addition to directing an award winning team, Mamie has been named "Palmettos Finest" by the South Carolina Clogging Council and "All American" by America's Clogging Hall of Fame. She has also placed Overall Grand Champion Female at numerous regional and national competitions.  Her most recent accomplishments include ACHF National Grand Champion Duo 2011 with Macy Booker, and National Grand Champion Duo 2010 with Amy Connell.  She was also awarded National Grand Champion Small Team (with Amy Connell, Macy Booker, Jessica Walters).  Recent Solo Accomplishments include: Grand Champion Contemporary and Traditional Female at the 2011 NC State Challenge, Grand Champion  Traditional Female at the 2011 SC Clogging Council Stampede and Grand Champion Female at the 2010 Georgia Carolina Clogging Classic.  

Mamie is currently the Secretary of the South Carolina Clogging Council.  She is also a a member of the Americas Clogging Hall of Fame and The Georgia Clogging Leaders Association.
